On iCloud, I am definitely looking forward to it as a user. With 4 iOS devices at home, I am forever trying to keep them in sync.

Upgrading to Lion is going to be a real pain for Mac users in India. There does not seem to be a direct upgrade path from Snow Leopard, and i can't imagine downloading 4GB over the wire. Bloody painful ...

You're right. This is already available. It is a little out of place, but I like this a lot. The point I was trying to make (not very well) is that now it will be auto-updated

Don't understand what is new about the last part ("Buy once, use everywhere"): I am already able to do this. I have 3 iTouches (one 3g & two 4g) and an iPad associated with my itunes account and I can download any apps I have purchased to all of them.

Hi Siddarth, what an enjoyable blog! I like the style, it has some serious issues, and I enjoy the tongue-in-cheek remarks even there.
Women rule - well, that's not really new, is it?
Haven't we always bought household items, and also underwear, socks and other clothes not only for our kids, but also -a lot of women, I understand- for the hubbies? No, that's not surprising.
The question is: what decides who 'rules' on the internet? Is that really the number of purchases? I would hope there's more important issues.

By definition, 50% of heart surgeons are below average. 50% of pilots are below average. You are kidding yourself if you think all heart surgeons are - well, rocket scientists.

Of course, 50% of rocket scientists are below average. There is no getting away from averages.

Your argument in favor of mediocrity may make sense in software design, but I wonder if you'd be in favor of having a mediocre heart surgeon performing a triple bypass on you or a mediocre pilot landing a plane you are on during a snowstorm? In some occupations, mediocrity is not good enough.
